Ballet has been taught for hundreds of years. So why is it now important to develop new ways of teaching?
The Idea The new techniques presented here are not intended to replace the century old traditions which have given us this transforming human and inspirational art form. Instead, we look to understand what has worked and find techniques which bring a more focused approach to the required physical transformation in ballet training. Much of this new approach to ballet training is credited to Maggie Black. Ms. Black's unique somatic approach has inspired Joe Saponaro to develop this teaching approach. |
